I recently had to have surgery (Oct '07) and they had to shave half of my hair.. it's growing back but slowly.. that side is about an inch or two. I was wondering do I put a relaxer in and then get all of my hair cut to make it grow evenly or just put a relaxer in? Also, which relaxer is best for African Americans? I was thinking about Organic Root Stimulator (I've never tried it before).

honestly, you had surgery so i wouldn't put any chemicals on my scalp for at least a year. let your natural hair grow. wear a wig or when you get more growth get a sewn in weave done. there is no relaxer that is best for any hair, truthfully.

I wouldn't do it just yet. Just go natural for a while. Your hair isn't probably long enough yet anyway. Try a cut wig.
