I had an asymmetrical haircut in the early 80's when only punks in London were doing it and my hairdresser had gone and desperately wanted to do it to my head.

Don't do it to yourself; it's just . . . it's really really frustrating to deal with and the back of your head gets really cold in the winter while the hair that's long gets in your face and eyes. It is, however, pretty good if you don't like looking people in the eye, though you have to sort-of roll your head to hide your face.

I've seen, however, that the 80's are back (I am so, so sorry!), so if they REALLY are? It's retro. Oh, and one more thing? Asymetrical cuts and curls do not mix. It looks like a small poodle doing unspeakable things to the side of your face.
