I cut my hair too short! I dont feel sexy anymore, help on styling!?

I had long brown hair to my mid back and for some reason decided to cut it, now its shoulder length and I feel like a little girl.

how should I style it to feel more like a woman?

im in the same situation as you i had long hair and then i dont know why i all of a sudden went short, i guess i thought it would be easier to manage my hair but really its harder cause i dont know what to do with it. most of the time i just leave it down

i'd say layer it, unless you want to be daring and would want to get the back cut about a finger's width and spike it and part and straighten the front or something of the nature

put it in a high unfinished ponytail high on your head like a bun. you can also get extensions. the wax kind is pretty good. or when you dry your hair make it attatched to your face. you can also layer it and make the ends go outwards with a straightner. there are plenty of pictures online. have fun :)

Try curling out the end of your hair. When I was growing my hair out... and after I got my split ends cut off that is the way my stylist would do my hair and it looked really cute but not girlish... don't over curl them but just enough that it flips out.

I would either do layers... or cut it even shorter, to achieve a more sophisticated look. It really all depends on your personal style and the shape of your face. Go back to your stylist and explain your dilemma. They probably have books full of pictures and cuts.

Humm, I had this happen. Get some highlights in it fast! Then, wear heavier eye make-up and some cute clothes you'll feel better till it grows. Avoid pony tails, head bands, and side baretts if you want to feel mature and sexy.

I had an asymmetrical haircut in the early 80's when only punks in London were doing it and my hairdresser had gone and desperately wanted to do it to my head.

Don't do it to yourself; it's just . . . it's really really frustrating to deal with and the back of your head gets really cold in the winter while the hair that's long gets in your face and eyes. It is, however, pretty good if you don't like looking people in the eye, though you have to sort-of roll your head to hide your face.

I've seen, however, that the 80's are back (I am so, so sorry!), so if they REALLY are? It's retro. Oh, and one more thing? Asymetrical cuts and curls do not mix. It looks like a small poodle doing unspeakable things to the side of your face.

I am 14 years old and over 5' 5" I do gymnastics so I only weigh about 110lbs. So if I cut my hair I would have to do a half and half pony tail.

Anyway, I was thinking of cutting it a little bit above shoulder length. But I'm not sure if it would look good on me.

I'm a figure skater (currently taking a break because im prego) and my hair has always been long but about a year ago i cut it really short to my chin and then i couldnt pull it back and when i did it was half and half and i just had a little stub of a ponytail. so take my advice, if your an athlete make sure your hair is the last distraction! you have your whole life to have short hair lol good luck sweetie!

I am a gymnast too and I was going to do something like you are considering. I was going to have it on chin length! And I would have regret it! Instead I got it shoulder length and it is the best haircut I have ever gotten.

short hair is so cute at your age and great for a busy girl. cut a little at a time and that way you can choose which lengh you like most. skip the layers because it will be hard to put up when you compete in gym.(if you are competing)make sure not to do anything drastic,it could really make you feel sad so remember...little bit at a time! good luck!

You're tall so I would say keep your long hair. I'm short...5"1' and I just got a short hair cut bob. I love it because it looks good on me. Unfortunately, not everyone could pull off short hair. It also depends on the texture of your hair. Like is it curly or straight...thick or thin. Those are things you have to think about. I have wavy fine hair so I have to flat iron my hair everyday or pull it back in a pony tail. If your in gymnastics then I would say don't cut your hair.....because it's harder to keep it in a pony tail with out it falling apart on the bottom and the sides. If you decide to cut your hair go with a medium length like shoulder length. Good Luck! :)

Keep your style close to your head. Also, a hat or head wrap great to keep on it until it grows out and your happy with the length.

Don't worry your not alone. I'm in the same boat,plus she cut my layers really really short and uneven. I'm using a 11/4 barrel curling iron right now to make it look half way normal until it grows out more to fix. Maybe you could try a curling iron to smooth your curls out for a new look until it gets longer. Good luck.

Be happy that at least your hair will grow back. Next time tell your stylist exactly what you want, bring pictures and be sure to say STOP if you think it's getting too short.
